Introduction
According to a study by the Federal Office for the Environment, littering costs taxpayers more than CHF 200 million each year, of which at least one third is attributable to cigarette butts.
Combating this phenomenon therefore involves considerable challenges and calls for multiple solutions.
Reduce cigarette butts on the ground through play
Providing concrete solutions to make behavioural change easier is one of the central pillars of Summit Foundation's work. The wall-mounted ashtray, which lets users vote between two options, pursues this goal of behavioural change, with the aim of reducing cigarette butt littering in the streets.
