Mission Dahu

AT ALTITUDE, KEEP UP YOUR GOOD HABITS!

Mission Dahu is an educational game designed to raise awareness of the environmental impact of winter mountain sports and leisure activities. Throughout their experience, children are accompanied by a mythical animal, the Dahu.

This module can be downloaded in two formats, each with its own content:
- An application for smartphones
- An educational kit

In a nutshell

The Mission Dahu game offers educational and fun activities for children aged 10 to 12. It complies with the Plan d'Etude Romand (PER) and is recommended by education21.

Available in digital and paper versions, the educational activity is highly flexible. It can be set up during a break in the mountain restaurant or in a more extensive and structured way during a week of ski camp.

OBJECTIVES

By playing games and experimenting in the field, children learn that winter activities have an impact on the environment.

Pupils also develop their critical thinking skills by reflecting on the different means of action available to them.

Themes

The game is based around 5 environmental themes: flora and fauna, waste, transport, sports equipment and food.

The link to download the application and the complete kit in PDF format - including the teaching manual, mission sheets, theory sheets and other materials - are available on the website www.missiondahu.ch.

Mission Dahu was produced in partnership by the Summit Foundation and the French-speaking association ECHO impulsion.

Mission Dahu à Gryon
