Student Projects - Supporting research on alpine environments
Summit Foundation supports students who wish to dedicate their research to environmental issues in alpine environments.
In partnership with universities of applied sciences, universities, secondary schools, and other educational institutions, the Foundation proposes research topics and supports students, from upper-secondary level to doctoral level, in developing their scientific projects.
Scientific and field support
Students benefit from support throughout their project, including in particular:
Through sampling campaigns carried out directly on mountain lakes, the researchers are studying the influence of several factors on these microbial communities, notably:
- access to concrete research problems; ;
- scientific and methodological supervision; ;
- support during field campaigns; ;
- support in the development and promotion of their work; ;
- communication opportunities with the general public and our partners.
By fostering collaborations between academia and field-based stakeholders, Summit Foundation contributes to the development of scientific knowledge directly useful for the protection of Alpine ecosystems.
Are you a student, teacher, or researcher looking to develop a project related to the protection of alpine environments? Summit Foundation is always seeking new scientific collaborations and is delighted to support initiatives that will help to better understand and preserve our mountains.
